How Book of Business AI collects consent to send appointment text messages.
Local service businesses embed this form on their own websites. Someone booking an appointment fills it in, and the text messages they receive afterwards come from our shared toll-free number on that business's behalf.
Three things about the SMS checkbox are worth pointing out, because they are the same on every form regardless of which business embedded it:
- It is unchecked by default and is never pre-selected.
- It is optional. Leaving it alone still books the appointment — consent is not a condition of anything.
- Its wording is set by Book of Business AI and cannot be edited by the business embedding the form.
